Day Thirty-two Saturday (April 1)

Prayer:

Faithful God, things and people, circumstances and situations change, nothing stays the same, all is in a state of flux, that is, all except you. Thanks for providing the stability for our lives. Amen.

Bible Reading:

Psalm 121

Silence:

One to two minutes

Reflection:

We run to the doctor when we get (really) sick; we go to the dentist when we have a toothache; we talk with an attorney when there is a legal problem; we head off to the grocery store when we need supplies. There are lots of place we go for help, lots of people who provide services, some for better, other for worse. These are all just as it should be. But over all, physically as well as figuratively, there is a reality in which utter confidence is well placed, the attending presence of the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He provides the underlying stability, like the hills, upon which a trusting spirit is built. Look to the hills, and trust God.

Action – Repentance and Creation:
Reflect today on those things in your life that have remained stable and sure. How have they brought a sense of peace and confidence to the your gait? Remember that God is the reality upon which this changing veil is played out.
