Lent Summary:
The season of Lent is a time of soul searching, thoughtful reflection and a time of preparation for Easter. Lent is the period between Ash Wednesday and Easter, the day of the year that marks the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Lord Jesus, work in us the miracle of being solely in tune with you. Keep us from self centeredness, direct us to our neighbor. Amen.
Day Forty-two Tuesday (April 11)
Prayer:
Loving God, help us to find our life in you, to be content to be conformed to you, to be shaped and molded by you, to be putty in your hands. Amen.
Day Forty-one Monday (April 10)
Prayer:
Jesus, draw us to yourself, so that filled and focused on you, we can never be shaken or distracted by the ways of the world. Amen.
Day Fort Fifth Sunday in Lent (April 9)
Prayer:
Almighty God, you sent your Son, our Savior Jesus Christ, to take our flesh upon him and to suffer death on the cross. Grant that we may share in his obedience to your will and in the glorious victory of his resurrection; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Almighty God, silence the chaos and confusions that surround us so that we can hear, and then believe, the words of comfort, strength, hope, and peace that you speak to us. Amen.

God, lead us away from the broad paths of the world and dare us into the ways of your Son. Amen.
Day Thirty-seven Thursday (April 6)
Prayer:
Gracious Lord, we thank you for your constant and abiding sustenance for our lives, our health, our wholeness. Help us to take the time and the occasion to thank you. Amen.
Day Thirty-six Wednesday (April 5)
Prayer:
Lord, thank you for bringing us this far in our lives. Equip us, along with the gracious protection, for the dangers that surround us, so that we can give clear witness to your providence. Amen.
Day Thirty-five Tuesday (April 4)
Prayer:
Jesus, one thing is needful for us, our relationship with you. Help us not to fill our lives with needless efforts that bring us no closer to you. Guide us, love us, even when it is hard for you and for us. Thanks. Amen.
Day Thirty-four Monday (April 3)
Prayer:
Gracious Father, open to us the doors to faith and life, give us opportunity to come to you, but most of all, give us the curiosity to dare to go through the doors you open and come close to you. Amen.

Prayer:
Almighty God, our redeemer, in our weakness we have failed to be your messengers of forgiveness and hope in the world. Renew us by your Holy Spirit, that we may follow your commands and proclaim your reign of love; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Prayer:
Faithful God, things and people, circumstances and situations change, nothing stays the same, all is in a state of flux, that is, all except you. Thanks for providing the stability for our lives. Amen.

Loving Lord, let your rule of love so shape our lives that they may be for others the taste of your servanthood, your sacrifice, your love. Amen.
Day Thirty Thursday (March 30)
Prayer:
Patient Jesus, we try so hard to make our ways work, even when they are right. Help us to realize that our ways, when they do not conform to you, just get in the way. Amen.
Day Twenty-nine Wednesday (March 29)
Prayer:
Gracious Lord, plant deep within us the knowledge of your love, so that no matter what happens to our physical being, the world around us, or to time itself, we will know you as our Savior. Amen.
Day Twenty-eight Tuesday (March 28)
Prayer:
God of glory, you chose to give up everything so that you could woo us to yourself without deceit, without force, without trickery. Thanks for loving us so much. Amen.
Day Twenty-seven Monday (March 27)
Prayer:
O Spirit of God, move over the chaos of our messy lives and bring your peace, not peace like the world knows, but a peace that passes understanding, a peace that come from your love. Amen.

Prayer:
God of all mercy, by your power to heal and to forgive, graciously cleanse us from all sin and make us strong; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Day Twenty-five Saturday (March 25)
Prayer:
God of all mercy, do have mercy upon us frail and fragile creatures. Remember that we are but dust. Prepare us for your judgment, lovingly. Amen.
Day Twenty-four Friday (March 24)
Prayer:
Lord, bless our dreaming until the day of peace comes. Shelter us when the pains of reality try to extinguish our hopes. Amen.
Day Twenty-three Thursday (March 23)
Prayer:
Loving Lord, help us to realize just how amazing, how necessary, how compelling, how singular your love for us is. Amen.

Prayer:
Patient Lord, we think that life goes on, we put off all sorts of important things until we are ready, we delay the inevitable. Awaken us to the shortness of life, the tentativeness of our ways, the need to make the most of this moment. Thanks for the chance to do so. Amen.

Prayer:
Good Lord, thank you for loving us so practically, for the air we breathe, the food we eat, the peace we enjoy, the friends we have, the future you promise, the sins forgiven. Thanks for be a God who delivers, not just talks. Amen.

Prayer:
Gracious Lord, we come up with so many ways to avoid the truth of our lives, we work so hard to get it under control, and we are tired. Give us the grace to realize our error, and put ourselves in your care. Amen.
Day Nineteen Third Sunday in Lent (March 19)
Prayer:
Eternal Lord, your kingdom has broken into our troubled world through the life, death, and resurrection of your Son. Help us to hear your Word and obey it, so that we become instruments of your redeeming love; through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Day Eighteen Saturday (March 18)
Prayer:
Eternal God, draw us always through the darkness and shadows of this age toward the new creation promised to us in your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Day Seventeen Friday (March 17)
Prayer:
Lord and Savior, you hold the promise of life before us, beckoning us to lay hold of it in faith and truth. Keep us from the false hopes, the empty promises, the mirages that are all around us, so that we may have the real thing. Amen.
Day Sixteen Thursday (March 16)
Prayer:
Merciful God, teach us to live in paradox - give up so that we can receive, lose in order to find, to die so that we might live – for it is only when you run our lives that we are saved. Amen.
Day Fifteen Wednesday (March 15)
Prayer:
Holy Jesus, lead us into the knowledge of your attention to us, into the understanding of how dearly you care for us, into the richness of your love for us, so that nothing can deflect us from love of you. Amen.
Day Fourteen Tuesday (March 14)
Prayer:
Eternal God, you hold all reality in your hand, you impart wisdom by your Word, you love us uncontrollably, give us such a sense of your presence that in and through our human experience, we may know you. Amen.

Prayer:
Merciful God, help us through your gift of healing to embrace our own brokenness, so that we may reach out to others with same spirit you reach out to us. Amen.
Day Twelve Second Sunday in Lent (March 12)
Prayer:
Eternal God, it is your glory always to have mercy. Bring back all who have erred and strayed from your ways; lead them again to embrace in faith the truth of your Word and to hold it fast; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one do, now and forever. Amen.

Prayer:
God, guide and empower us in what we chose to value. Give us the wisdom to seek the true treasures that have the security of your kingdom. Amen.
Day Ten Friday (March 10)
Prayer:
Gracious Father, in your mercy we have received all we need and more than we could expect. Make our hearts both alive in thanksgiving and expressive in service to our neighbor. Amen.
Day Nine Thursday (March 9)
Prayer:
Merciful God, look patiently on me, bear with me, hang in there with me. For lots of reasons, particularly those involving my ego, I have harmed many, I have shamed myself, I missed the many treasures you have given. Help me to return to you, even though I know you have never let my side. Amen.
Day Eight Wednesday (March 8)
Prayer:
Holy Jesus, draw us to yourself, gently when possible, lovingly always, and when necessary, be tough on us when we get stubborn, but please, don’t give up on us and let us go our own ways. We need you. Amen.
Day Seven Tuesday (March 7)
Prayer:
Lord God, help me in the shadows and in struggle to realize your rule. Protect me from giving in to the obvious, to what others say, to the logic of it all. Give me eyes to see and ears to hear your reality. Amen.
Day Six Monday (March 6)
Prayer:
Gracious Lord, lead us today through the experiences and the persons with whom we have traffic. In fact, lead us to the experiences and persons that you want us to have traffic. And then help us to realize a blessed it is to be controlled by you. Amen.
Day Five First Sunday in Lent (March 5)
Prayer:
Lord, God, our strength, the battle of good and evil rages within and around us, and our ancient foe tempts us with his deceits and empty promises. Keep us steadfast in your Word and, when we fall, raise us again and restore us through your Son, Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you’re the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.
Day Four Saturday (March 4)
Prayer:
Gracious Lord, you have given such awesome and marvelous gifts to us, not because we are worthy or because we deserve, but because you love us, even despite ourselves. May your Spirit remind us that the live of true honor of you, is a life lived in thanksgiving, to and for you. Amen.
Lent Day Three Friday (March 3)
Prayer:
Gracious Lord, there are so many competing forces in our lives, so many paths, so many attractions. Be our rock and our foundation, so that we may prosper in your ways. Amen.
Lent Day Two (March 2)
Prayer:
Jesus, we worry too much, we are anxious about so many things, we not only have our own concerns we take on the concerns of others as our own. In all these things help us to remember finally Who is in charge, and Who it is that loves us so much. Amen.
